Today we’re talking car organization and the best tips to keep your car organized at all times!
Cars can become very messy and gross…especially if you have kids. Trust me, I know. That is why car organization is so important to me. Just like any space in my home, I try my best to create an organized space for less stress.
Nobody likes a dirty car, so I’m going to share how I organized my car and the best products that I think will be useful for you.

Car Organization Tips and Products
Middle Console
To organize the middle console, I used these clear plastic boxes. The reason I like these boxes is that they are firm and whatever I put in there can be clearly seen.
Another reason I love them so much is that they allow me to have some sort of “system”. By using them, everything I need is separated into categories and they help me not to put random items in there.
The 4 categories I have are:
Cords
First Aid
Hygiene
Masks
I have also seen people carry cutlery and extra cash in the middle compartment, which sounds like a good idea, hopefully, I’ll get to add that to mine soon.
Glove Box
Inside the glovebox, I keep only the registration and tools in my favorite mesh zipper pouches. If you’re not already using these you totally should! They make organizing so easy.
More on mesh zipper pouch organizing in this post HERE.
Again, I used the same clear box for some of the tools for the car.
Hooks
These hooks are a total game-changer! I love them, especially for my purse in the front. No longer does the purse flip over while driving.
You can use them both ways to make it work for your needs.
Magnet
This might be my favorite product out of everything. It is not only safe but, it makes driving so much easier. Especially when using maps. Shop the magnet here.
Trash
Who knew that having a trash bin in the car would be such a game-changer. I’m here to say it totally is. It even helps my kids throw trash in the bin, which just makes things so much easier.
It is waterproof, and a good size.
Trunk Organizer
In the trunk, I like to keep a basket with water bottles, an extra umbrella, and some reusable bags. A trunk organizer would be perfect if the basket is too small.
We currently use our camping chairs every week so we like to keep them there for now.
Headrest Organizer
This headrest organizer comes in handy if you have children. You can store food inside and it keeps it either cold or hot.
In the front, there is a place for a screen. We don’t always have the screen, but it is useful for longer road trips.
Cupcake Molds
Silicone cupcake molds act as a liner for the cupholder! They make cleaning out the crumbs from the snacks so much easier.
Catch-All Basket
My secret to making things look neat? BASKETS! This basket sits between my kids and it holds their toys and snacks.
I love it because it keeps them busy so they don’t bother me while on the road, and I can throw everything in there and it will look clean and put together.
That will conclude my car organization tips and products. I hope it inspired you, and I would love to hear if you have a favorite car organization product or trick!
